Altes Rathaus

Altes Rathaus in Minuch originates from the 1464. It was designed by Jorg von Halsbach who also was architect of Frauenkirche church. Despite the fact that Altes Rathaus later has been rebuilt few times, it saved its guise of 15 century.

Two gateways (you can see it on photo) were added to the building in 1877 and 1934 to facilitate traffic on the central Munich.

The building adjoins Toy Museum (Spielzeugmuseum) which is besides the oldest part of Munich fortification; it was built in the 12 century.

Inside of Altes Rathaus you can visit original Gothic ceremonial hall on the first storey of the building. Don’t miss there 96 carved coats of arms of noble Bavarian families.
