Many call Piran as one of the most beautiful cities in Slovenia. I will join to them with big pleasure. It’s very small town but filled with charm.
The focal point of the Piran is Tartinijev square which was named after the famous composer Giuseppe Tartitini who was born in Piran. It’s a 19th –century square but it has a few older buildings. For example I personally has been charmed by the palace which was built in the Venetian style.
It’s not incidentally, Piran located close to the Venice and city during a long period of its history belonged to the Venetian Republic.
From the main square you can lift to the St Geroge Cathedral which is located on the top of the hill and dominates the city. It’s no wonder that from Sr George Cathedral there is spectacular view to the Piran and its districts. After the walk to the Cathedral you can descend to the Piran port and have a rest in the one of the fishing restaurants there. You will always find the fresh fish there.
To recap my essay about the Piran I only was to mention that I visited city at night so I only have night photos of the city. But hope you will like it.
