Slovenia does not have a big coast. In the country there are only a few sea resorts and the Portorož is a one of them.
The city is very small. It’s located at the narrow strip between Adriatic sea and the mountains. I can’t say that Portoroz has a nice beaches. The beach in the Portorož - is a green meadow with a slabs which facilitate the entrance to the sea. I can’t say that the Portorož is a good sea resort.

As for me the main advantages of the Portorož is a proximity to the Alps and Italy. So when you rest here you can make a day trips into the Alps and explore their lakes or visit the Italy and see such cities as Trieste or Venice.
